Staff: All of the teaching staff are AMI or AMS credentialed.

Dates and Hours: The academic year is from September through early June. For preschoolers the school year begins on a staggered basis with the oldest children starting first. Elementary students begin together. Winchester Montessori School provides individualized instruction at all levels making it possible for a child to begin at any time during the school year. Preschool hours are 9:00 - 12:00, Monday through Friday. Elementary hours are 9:00 - 3:00.

Application Procedure: Parents interested in sending their child to the Winchester Montessori School should submit a completed application form. Families will be notified as soon as an opening is available. At that time an orientation visit for parents and child will be scheduled. A non-refundable deposit (applied to tuition) is due upon the child's acceptance into the program. No acceptance is considered firm without the deposit.

Health Certificate: Each child is required to have a doctor's certificate of physical examination (including immunizations) at the time of admission to school.

Identity Verification: Verification of age and identity is required at the time of enrollment. Proof of identity may include any of the following: certified copy of the birth record (no Xerox copies), birth registration card, notification of birth (hospital, physician or midwife record), passport, copy of the placement agreement or other proof of a child's identity from a child placing agency. Documents will be returned to parents.

Conferences: Conferences with parents are held twice during the school year.

Snacks: The children are served a light snack during the morning. Please notify your child's teacher if your child has any food allergies.

Ballet & Yoga: Ballet and Yoga classes are available for an additional fee.

After School Care: Our after school program is available on scheduled school days (no weekends or holidays). The program will offer activities such as: arts and crafts, dramatic play, movement, games, and food preparation. It is an educational (not Montessori) after school experience.
